Catbacks will buy you no more sound than axlebacks. They WILL set you back a few dollars more. Research, my friend, before you waste your money.
Wow that would really save me a lot of money

There are so many to choose from. I personally like the sound of the "Boom Tubes" and "SLP Loudmouths" on the GT's. The boom tubes are a bit deeper than the SLP Loudmouths. Check out different exhaust clips on Youtube.

Yes, it all comes down to personal preferance. Many many many options out there, Flowmaster, Magnaflow, Borla, SLP, Bassani, Pypes, FRPP Stingers, just few off top of my head.

If you add a offroad X or H pipe, it will increase the volume dramatically as opposed to just a axelback kit.

For reference, if you're just talking about the mufflers, which is all you need for immediate sound changes, that's "axle back". The muffs bolt up near the axles and hang behind them, very easy to swap out.

I run the Borla's and they sound great.

Those are the FRPP (Borla) Stingers; same as I have. That's not a bad price but you should be able to do a little better. I recall paying $425 with shipping a few years back and I think the demand for them is falling off.

Be aware that the Stingers (as well as a few other setups) will drone. Mine drone in the 1500-1900 RPM range but I don't mind it too much, especially when the windows are down. They don't bother my g/f, either.

If you DO buy them (or any other axleback for that matter), be sure to read TacoBill's "How-To" writeup in the stickies. There's great info in there that helps you center the pipe in the rear bumper cutouts.

OP, everyone's taste is diff to what sound they want.. I really like my Roush Offroad exhaust with my headers w/ H pipe.. My suggestion is to hit car shows.. If your driving down the road and hear a sound you like, ask the driver their setup.. Most people do not mind at all to tell you.. Good luck on the sound search..

Nuke, thats for the suggestion on TacoBill's write ups.. You just reminded me of something..

Check out the Boom tubes. They are loud and a bit deeper than the SLP's.
