I've been having issues getting my rear tailpipes aligned and I finally got them perfect. But now I've noticed one of the hangers on the left side is hitting part of the underside of the car and I am getting periodic vibration when driving, but it goes away once the car is warmed up. Since I finally have the tailpipes just right, at this point I would rather just try to add some kind of a buffer where the hanger is hitting the car, instead of trying to re-do the whole alignment. Do the hangers themselves get pretty hot and will I need some kind of high temperature insulation or tape? I am thinking if I just wrap it with something that might fix it. Do you think this could be a long lasting solution?

Tape is not going to be enough.....I used a piece of vacuum hose with the tape wrapped around the bend in the hanger.
