Just upgrade your tires/ rims, suspension or get a supercharger to keep the interest level up!
This is what I'm doing... Altough that new 5.0 is just screaming to me. I can't justify spending $40k and only get like $15k if I'm lucky for something I paid $30+k and that's not including the real-down price once you factor in all the interest we pay when we finance these things... We'll always have the next new thing. +5 mpg, +50 HP, + Standard this and Standard that. Fortunate to have my car paid off and otherwise have no real obligations so I think i'll enjoy that part of my freedom. However I'm not happy with my car. Needs so much for me to be happy but I guess I'll put a little away here and there and slowly build up to it while enjoying all the time I put into it.

Got 300 miles on my new 11 GT.Picked it up Friday after waiting 3 months for it.
So far so very good.
Got rid of my 06 Cobalt SS/SC for it.
Way better all around with the exception of the seats.

Nope. I think I'll wait for the 50th Anniversary edition in 2014.

I got the 2011 because I was thinking off supercharging my 2010 4.0 and when I added up the cost of a kit plus all the extras you really should have when adding 100+hp such as free flowing dual exhaust, 8.8 trac loc rear end, gt or bigger brake upgrade etc the difference was about the same if not cheaper with labor included as just buying a 2011 3.7 v-6 outright which has 95 more hp stock than my 2010 did. Plus I could keep it under warranty so I had 29 more payments at 411 on the 2010 I got into the 2011 and now my payment is $473 for 36 months and I got one of those ford maintenance plans as well. If your car is paid for I would look at if the new interior and body restyling are enough to make the payment be worth it if so go for it man the 2011 is even more refined than my 2010 was as far as ride quality braking nvh etc and the 2010 was years ahead of my 2006 in the same areas

everytime I walk outside and see my car, I get the feeling of, DAMMM, That my car right there! I'll consider a new car when that feeling goes away.

The new GT's aren't different enough from the 05-09's to get me to even consider it.

Uh.....get sucked into a "new GT" with todays new car prices? That would be a big no thank you. Love my 06 vert GT I bought last year used for only 22k. Flawless with only 16k miles. Just turned over 20k miles and it's still like brand new. However not my DD.

Roush got a supercharger kit out for the '11 427Rs pumping out something like 550hp (crank) with the infamous M90 kit, heard the Eaton R2300 already made it's way on it not too long ago for a concept. I seen online at the local Ford that the 5.0s are a meager $30k sticker price! It's killing me! My 08 GT/CS premium was $35k! buah!
