Superchip Flashpaq info wanted.
I just bought a Superchip Flashpaq unit and will pick it up tomorrow from the dealer. It is for my '08 GT 4.6. I have a Pypes Beast exhaust with X pipe, K&N cold air intake already. What real world (not hype) improvements can I expect? Love to hear from you guys/gals that have installed the program in your Mustangs. Will I actually notice the improvement while driving? Thanks.

I have nio idea what the Superchip Flashpaq unit is but a typical CAI & custom tune combo will yield about 25 RWHP gain. If the Superchip Flashpaq unit is anything like the FRPP tune and CAI, expect about 12-15 RWHP. Of course, you researched this to prevent spending your $$ foolishly...

the flashpaq looks like a real nice unit. the only thing i'd say, is that if you plan to keep the car for a long time, you may come to find that at some point in your modding career that it can only take you so far.

I just Googled your Superchip Flashpaq and I can honestly say that I'm not impressed. It appears that the unit has pre-loaded, canned tunes which are inferior to custom tunes. In addition, I see no info regarding tech support for those little problems that seem to pop up as a result of the tune. Brenspeed, AM... they're 2 of the top tuners and have great tech support and will mail updated tunes at the drop of a hat.
Sorry if this bursts your bubble but it's always good to research and post questions BEFORE you commit.

i couldn't bring myself to burst his bubble, but now that it's blown i can say i agree with Nuke.
if it's not too late, get an SCT or Diablo, hand held tuning device. yes it may cost more, but will be worth it in the long run.

I have never heard anything good about Superchips as far as our cars go.
But I have never done any real research on them either.
I started researching for a good two weeks before I bought first performance mods (CAI/Tuner).
Brenspeed and AM always came up on top so I went with one of those. VERY important to do research and talk to professionals before going out and jumping into the mod world.
Maybe it's not too late and you can return it and get your money back?
If all else fails and you are unhappy with the product put it up for sale
and invest in a good CAI/Tuner combo.

Off topic but... I can honestly say that I'm not sure if that is one of my failings or one of my strengths. Being honest and blunt has resulted in many career limiting comments and others that catapulted me to fame in my industry. LOL!
