Want to build a beast
Ok so right now I only got a jlt cai/tune and trying to get an idea of how to build a beast. I dont know too much, but I want to keep it to where it can still be a daily driver and not a risk of blowing my engine. If I get parts now and then, how do you know whats compatible with one another. I eventually want a supercharger, but is it worth putting on an engine that has higher mileage. I have 60k now, but it will be a good year or 2 before I can get one. Also, i want kooks headers/midpipe. If I plan on going FI what should I not get? I think underdrive pulleys and my cai will be pointless at that point but what should I avoid. Can I still use CMDP with a supercharger? Is there a supercharger thats better for a daily driver? I had my eye on the vortech v3. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. I dont have a hp goal just something street legal, emissions legal, and sick.

There are a lot of build threads, some here, some on other forums. Do some searching. There are too many variables with this kind of thing. CMDPs do work with centri blowers (paxton, vortech, procharger) and turbos. CMDPs do not work with twin screw blowers because the whole intake manifold is replaced with the blower. UDPs will be a waste if you know you are going FI. And with any blower you can get a safe tune to last you for quite a while. Pretty much any blower is streetable and sick. Do a lot of research before you do anything though, that way you know what path you wish to take.
Or you could always go a different route and stay NA but do heads/cams/gears/full intake/full exhaust and make damn near the power that a simple bolt on blower will.

i didnt want my post to sound complicated, but if i could just do a simple blower and not a crap load of other parts that would be great. I read alot of threads but really not the mechanic type to understand too much of it. Any clue like how many miles/years a engine with supercharger can last, especailly as a daily driver.

465hp plus another 30 or so for headers and a dyno tune on top of it with a 60k motor is not safe! Dude are you on crack?
Best bet is get a blower, run really low boost 4-5psi until you get a forged shortblock then crank up the boost.

...and your definition of a "beast" may differ from others' definition.
The advice of doing your research is the best advice. Take a lot of notes, read what a lot of people have done, etc. Take your time.

true, i just have no hp numbers to say i want because honestly i wouldnt know what that would feel like. I dont wanna say I want 500 hp in my gt cause I dont wanna dump **** loads of cash into this and sacrifice the daily driver portion. That would be what would make me just save up and by a used 2011 in a couple years cause its already at 412 hp and a comfortable drive. Also, since I pretty much am a retard in the automotive dept, I would have to fork over a crap load of $ in install prices to. and to clarify my definition of a street beast I guess would be something in the low 12 second 1/4. My area mostly only has ricers and a couple stock ls1's so a low to mid 12 second car would be nasty over here.

You can get Mid-12s with just bolt ons and drag radials. Buddy of mine ran 12.5 with C&L Intake, Tune, 4.10s and Drag Radials (Automatic) It's been a while but I don't think he had anything else. I ran 13.075 with just C&L Intake, UDPs, and LCAs.
