What type of tires are you using at the track? If you are just on your street tires then you don't need the line locks since you should only be giving those a quick spin to clean them off.

If you are running drag radials or slicks, then the line locks help. By releasing the rear brakes I find that I don't get as much brake dust and am not wearing out my rear pads as quickly as before the line locks. The drag radials get spinning a lot easier as well.

The line locks will do you well with the Nitto's. They need a lot of heating up and the line locks will hold you in place, and allow the rear wheels to turn much easier and save your rear brakes.

Do you have ABS?

I have the SLP - easy installation. I have the ABS so it replaces the main line from the ABS to the front brake controller with a single solenoid placed in the middle of the line.

Others have found good success with the kit that places a solenoid on each of the front brake lines under the fender liner - I can't remember what kit that is now.

The Granatelli kit is really nice, places two solenoids up front at the ABS controller, and is probably the most expensive one out there.

Line Locks are also nice to have on the street. Makes it easier to get moving on a hill, load on a trailer, etc. I rarely go to the drag strip, and I use mine all the time. Of course, making smoke on the street is just plain fun.

The kit that uses 2 solenoids is from PMP, but it only includes the fittings/lines. The solenoids need to be pirchased separately from somewhere like Jegs. But you can find deals on the GMS kit as I have seen them on group buys go for $155 shipped, but also read they do not fit with some CAIs.
