Acceptable Tire Width for new 5.0?

Acceptable Tire Width for new 5.0?
I picked up a new 2011 5.0 with the 18" wheels. They're 18 x 8 I believe, and have 235 width tires all around. I can get traction in a straight line, but I feel like cornering performance is limited with a tire this narrow. 412 hp just seems to send these puppies into a tail happy scenario around every turn. Would a stickier summer tire do the trick (they come with P zero nero all seasons), or do I need a wider wheel/tire combo?
