Default Anyone having a hard time parting with their 2005-2009 stang for the 2011 mustang gt?

I know the new stang is superior but I can't part with her. She's fast but not the fastest and don't laugh but she will be paid off soon after owning her for six years. I love my car and would like to stop making payments. Is it strange or is there anyone else in my boat?

i would read your sig for advice. The 2011s are very nice, but just stick with yours and make it how you want it. I dont think its worth the upgrade unless your willing to put even more money into it.

I think it would be awesome to have a 5.0, but if I had to get rid of my current mustang to get it I wouldn't be as thrilled.

I am keeping mine.

Once I get my tax return next spring I am trading in the 05 for an 11. Hopefully then Ford too will have some rebates out there.

I'd like to have the motor and 6-speed but that's it. to me the only improvement is the hood and the front looks more aggressive, the rest is kinda meh to me. every time I see the back end of one I hate it.

if I didn't have my 09 I'd get the 11 if I was shopping now but the new style doen't look good enough to take the huge depreciation hit and trade in my car. honestly if I was shopping now I wouldn't get the 11 at all. I'd get a camaro now that the prices have dropped to a more normal number than when they first came out.

or better yet, a used 07-09 GT500

I have an 05 Roush Vert Sonic Blue and will not sell her, period. I would consider as new addition in 2012 if Ford produces a Mach 1 with 69 style scoops or makes a street level Boss. Just watching and waiting!!!

Couldn't agree more even though I have a 6. I've had it since 06 and it will be paid off February.

As much as I like the thought of that 5.0, I STILL can't get past the changes to the front and rear. I could afford to pick one up but I have 2 Stangs in a 2 car garage as it is (the LL V6 Pony is the g/f's). If I had room, I'd consider a 3rd just to have the 5.0

I will be keeping mine, if I got a new one I will be doing the same thing I'm doing to the current one and that's dumping money into it. My car is paid for, so if she blows it's still cheaper to rebuild her.
