I'm trading in my 06 Mustang GT automatic for a 2011 5.0 Kona Blue 6 speed manual. I got the upgraded Shaker 1000 stereo, body kit that includes hood scoop, side scoops, side window louvres, and a lifted spoiler. Polished aluminum 18" wheels and a trim package. They say it will take 8 weeks or longer. I've never ordered a car before. Does it take so long, because they have to build and ship it? It will be hard to wait, but at least it's been a week already.

yeah it always takes that long, 6-8 weeks since you ordered it, it will be built from scratch =)

Congrats, now comes the tough part...waiting...and waiting...and waiting...

The good news is that you won't get it with over 200 miles already on the odo, like mine did.

Good luck holding on for the wait! It's rough lol. I'm about to head into my 5th week of waiting for the new stang and it's killing me. It's especially annoying because my 5.0 hasn't even been issued a VIN yet =(

Mine took 7 weeks didnt have vin till week 3-4, r u sure u dont want the brembo package, its a great value for the money...

Great choice, but you should have gotten the Brembo's. My '11 is also kona blue w/package #5, stick, Brembo's, etc. You are gonna love the scoops. I get a crowd every place I go. Congrats!

Thanx guys! I wanted to go with the Brembo brakes, but for 1700 bucks more? I don't know

It comes with different front brake rotors and calipers, different front abs modules, different rear calipers, different brake pad material (unconfirmed), different wheels, different tires, different steering pump programming, different stabilty control programming, different springs, different shock valving (unconfirmed) and likely some other things I missed.

Besides in your case it will be less because you will save the cost of the 18" Wheel Option,
That said Im happy with the base suspension and brakes but then Im a tight wad.
If I had ordered one more option it would have been the Brembo Package.

PS I would ask others about the Shaker 1000 before I paid extra for it.
