Blown truck tire cracks GT/CS front bumper!
While driving home from VA, a truck blew a tire. The biggest piece of the blowout slams into my front bumper and cracks it. Pic is included below. So is there a way to fix this or am I in the market for a new bumper.

New bumper. Your insurance will cover it. On another note, it seems like I've been seeing ALOT more shredded truck tires on the highway lately. I wonder what's going on. Maybe they are trying to extend the life of the tires more than they did in the past?

You might check with a body shop. They can repair a lot of damage in these bumper covers if you can't make out financially with an insurance claim. If it can be repaired just take it off yourself and you can drive the car without it for a few days while it is being fixed. I got rear ended in my '96 T-Bird DD and the rear cover got ripped in a couple of places. Today two years later it still looks perfect.

I would get a new bumper because it will not be an easy task to fix, however, a GT/CS bumper is worth money to alot of people, especially a good deal on a damged one. Try selling it in classifieds and Im sure it will go quick.

Man, this area really sucks. I was driving in northern Virginia the other day, had to go down the same road twice that day. First time down it, someone tosses a styrofoam cooler out their window, and I slam right into it. Didn't do any damage, but man, I was so heated.
Second time down the road, same thing as you. Truck infront of me sheds a tire tread, and I slam right into it. GRRR. Again, no damage..lucky me x2. Sucks to hear man.
