i'm not talking new camaro ss's i'm talking 01's...it can look cheap all it want's but they're freaking quit bone stock. a corvette looks cool but the interior is crappy...that's gm's trademark...lets not car what it looks like...but its gonna run like a scalded dog...

All things equal, a stock 11 GT should easily beat a stock 01 SS.
Mustang, Camaro
HP 412, 325
TQ 390, 350
Curb Wt 3603, 3411
Wt/HP 8.75, 10.50

the 2001 SS is 0-60 5.3 seconds 1/4 13.7
About the same numbers as a 05-09 Mustang gt. Actually it's 5.1 for the 05-09 mustang gt.
Having two huge guys in the car also makes a difference too plus it wasn't broken in yet.

driver error, weight diff, and that camaro isnt stock, no way. and as stated, if it was then the 01 would be faster then the 10's.

How do you know for a fact? We've all seen the you tube vids, motortrend vids and our buddys talking crap about how fast the SS/LS1 Z28 Camaros are. I had a 93 Z while stationed in Germany (yes I was once on the dark side). The car had 135,000 miles on it and I was busting my buddys 02 Gt (18,000 miles on it) up everytime we raced. BTW he was stick and I was auto. Nothing that Ford has produced other than the 03-04 Cobra could touch the LS1 camaros/firebirds. If we want to talk about the GT500, preety sure the gm guys will bring out the Z06 (not going to touch that one). If you would put a stock 2010 mustang up against a stock 01-02 Camaro SS, IMO the SS (if driven correctly) would best the GT. Then the 2011 has come along and finally Ford got it right. In a perfect world, the LS1 should not beat a 11 5.0. Did you guys see the way the 11 trounced upon the SS and Challenger SRT-8? So, like I said eailier Ford got it right. I'm just wondering what Chevy has up there sleeves, for say the 2012 Camaro. Will it ever end? Hope not!!

They did a comparison on the 01 camaros and the 10 camaros and the newer one only beat the old one by a few tenths of a second which would mean that it should be at or below the new stang depending on driver

Either chubby can't drive for **** or that Camaro isn't as stock as some of you seem to think it is. I'm going with the latter.
