Default looking for new stang

Okay so right now I own a 2006 Vista Blue Mustang v6 Pony Package and its absolutely gorgeous. It just has one major flaw for me, its automatic. I recently received more money and instead of spending 12k on a car I can now afford a car around 15k which brings me to my problem. Can I find a nice GT for around that price? I'd like it to have leather/MyColor with some decent amount of mileage on it. Honestly I'd tranny swap what I have now but I heard it's a total pain in the ***.

Besides a 05 to 09 GT is there anything else I should look for in this price range? I can't think of anything else personally except a Cobra or Mach 1 (otherwise 99 to 04 doesn't phase me the most).

for that price you should be able to get a good GT. is that 15k with your V6 trade in value?

I know people have come on the forums with all sorts of radical prices for how much 05-09 GTs cost everything from as low as $12k to as high as $21k for the same year/miles.

Just giving you my honest opinion when I started looking last year for mine I saw a handful of deals around 15-16k. I bought my baby 2 states away for just a little over 15k with 30k miles on her.

She was a bit dirty inside, exterior needed a wash job (got it from a private owner) and there was a scratch on the bumper (cost me $175 to fix). After I got her home it took all of 48 hours to put it into showroom condition.

So is $15k plausible? Hell yes. Go for it! You may have to travel a state or so away but if you can make the hike it is worth it. This is my first Mustang and I'm in love. I cannot wait for this unemployment bill to be signed so I know whether or not to save my money in case people close to me need some help or finally spend a few dollars into my soon-to-be beast.

Sounds doable. Better if you don't need to take out a loan.

Not to start a political discussion, but 2 years of unemployment is completely absurd.

Does the general population honestly believe 14 million people are out of work to mooch off of unemployment for fun? Losing their cars, homes, the future of their children that depended on them for expensive college tuitions (and only going up), etc etc.

Not insinuating you're one of those people nor trying to jack this thread but I've always found it boggling how people look down on the unemployed like they're worthless because they cannot control who hire them and conveniently ignore the billions of dollars Bush burned away for nothing.

Anyway -- to keep on topic I'll say this; when searching I found the likelihood of finding a 15-16k GT is through a private dealer. Dealerships always wanted to tack on 2-3k for absolutely nothing. Hopefully that is no longer the case but don't rule out any opportunity that gets you what you want!
