Default Brake fluid overspill on fluid reservoir

While admiring my 5.0 I noticed some brake fluid spilled on the

reservoir and some on the cap too. I do not think it leaked out but was spilled instead.

Is the brake fluid filled at the factory or it is topped up at PDI?

I cleaned it all off with a damp towel and will monitor the situation.

EVERY Ford I have owned, including the Mustang, needs to have the brake fluid level kept at the bottom of the letters "MAXIMUM" on the reservoir or it will spill out. My 2009 GT was overfilled at the factory and had some coming out around the cap like yours and I had to take something like an eyedropper and remove some until I reached the level I said. Never had another drop come out again!

Found this with a quick search. Looks like it is a pretty common problem.
