Pics and RIM info request PLEASE
Hey guys/gals, I'm thinking about buying some new rims for my 06 GT and really like the look of the Shelby Redlines and/or these Saleen rims (Not really sure what the Saleen's are called). I'm pretty sure I want 18's or maybe 19's (Definately no bigger than that), to replace the stock 17's on my car, but I am not that familiar with offsets and their relation to rim widths. I definately DO NOT want the rims to stick out of the wheelwells, and have plans to lower my car (maybe 2 inches in the rear and 1-2 in the front), in the not to distant future. Could anyone with these rims post some pics of their car and provide me with the specific size of the rims and tires you have PLEASE. Also, does anyone have a picture of either of those rims on a Tungsten Mustang? That would be Ideal, as i'm trying to decide on gunmetal, vs silver, vs chrome in these, on my Tungsten car..... THANKS....

those last two pics were before i lowered the car, but the lighting is better. Anyway, those are 18-inch shelby redlines. the rear offset is 41 and is perfectly lighed with teh fender in rear. Some of these that are said to be for the stang are 30 offset rear and those will stick out. The front is a 40 offset. teh front coudl use a bit less offset, teh 255's sit under the finders a bit but it looks good. tires on these are 255/45-18 front and 285/40-18 rear nitto 555's. Redlines are not offered in 17-inch, you can get teh 18" still and may find 20's still aroudn too. It;s also worth noting that some palces list the gunmetal wheels, which are a metallic gray as black for some reason. AFAIK only the 20's came in black or at elast they are the only size left in black since these were discontinued. Still tons of them on the market though, i love mine and get lots of complements on the wheels. i picked teh hweel sup on ebay new for $600 for the set:
