ive got the same car...07 GT with 1k system. 41k no issues. sounds like a bad ground or something to that effect. check your battery cables, make sure they are tight, also check all the wiring to the sub, make sure its in order. its probably something simple. also check the amps. you make have an amp taking a dump.

Do you know about the possible water leak near the passenger side kick panel? If water gets into the smart junction box it can cause these electrical gremlins such as the ones you are experiencing.

Is there any TSB on the water in the passenger side kick panel?

Can you see any water inside the cabin of the car on the carpet?

Ohhhhhh yes... Check it out here... Alot of people have had to deal with this with varying ways of fixing it... Luckily I haven't had any dampness myself, and I hope you don't...

Ive had this happen to me twice a long time ago. The wire loom coming out of the trunk and going up to the lid was getting pinched in the seal when I closed the trunk. It let water drip right on the Shaker system. Every time I washed my car, I would see water there. Only made the noise two times though. I just moved the wires out of the way and made sure they clear the seal, no problems since.

Well now the sub is working , but the thumping continues in a definite pattern . When you close the doors and take no further action , after waiting 5 seconds, the car thumps twice. If you press a button on the fob or if the trunk is open and you press the shut off button for the light , it will thump once .

And I did drive in some hard rain the night before this started . I cannot find any wet spots inside the car though .
