Its not as cool or as custom as that video but proclipusa.com does sell an iPad mount for the car.

Thanks your right not as cool looking but another alternative.

But what happens to the radio? If you get a custom install then you have no radio?

and that pioneer 3100 is sweet too. probably way more affordable too, and not overkill :P

and also ipads aren't made to take the bumps that sometimes occur when driving. also the harddrive shouldn't be in that much motion when in use. so it might **** up early, who knows.

if you want a toy in your dash the ipad would be great . this is what i run http://www.eclipse-web.com/us/cd/cd7200overviews.html
expensive but well protected with double security, unlock cd (which i keep at home) locks the unit and renders inoperable even if stolen, along with faceplate which travels in and out of hte car w/ me.

thanks. guess its a collectors item now...just saw it's been discontinued. glad I picked it up when i did because its one badass HU.
check out the eclipse and alpine double din HU's if that's what you're looking for. Alpines gone down somewhat in recent years but still quality pieces.
