Default shorty antenna jacked

So someone decided that they wanted my 8" shorty antenna, or just wanted to rip it off and leave it F'd up.. My problem is now I have no antenna, and the bottom half of the screw is in the base. How in the hell am I supposed to get it out so that I can install a new antenna? Please help, it's driving me crazy.. I can't believe people are so lame to steal a $20 antenna, not to mention the valve stem caps off of my tires as well.

Use a small drill bit. Drill in the center then try to put a small screw inside the hole. Tigthen the screw, then carefully try to back out the screw, bring the broken piece out with it. If any of the old screw is sticking out, then try pliers. Some people just $UCK. Why can't they just leave our cars alone?

NO NO NO.. don't use a screw!

Go to Home Depot, or Loews.. buy an "Easy Out"... it looks like a combo drill/screw but the threads go backward and it is designed JUST for taking out broken bolts.

Drill a small hole in the bold... screw in the easy out.. and bing.. it is out.

I have a box of them in various sizes.. a very handy thing to keep in the garage!

Heh. Just don't screw up the drilling in. When I was a kid my dad was doing that to a starter bolt and the drill got sideways on him and we had to pull the engine to weld the engineblock where he drilled a hole in the mount for the starter.
