Is my radio harness hacked up?

Is my radio harness hacked up?
I was trying to install my pie frd04-aux unit this morning and I simply could not get it to work. The unit uses the factory 16 pin connector, which is the middle connector in the pic below. After reading some diagrams, there should be several wires going into this connector, but mine seems to have only two wires, which doesn't seem right.
I have a bad feeling that the previous owner hacked up the harness.

Hopefully this doesn't effect the install of my new double din touchscreen unit.

I'd peel back all that electrical tape. You may find your missing wires inside. Here's a color guide for the 2005 if you need it to find out what the last owner did..

I'm not sure why they would use a speaker wire in that particular plug that houses power/ground...You may wanna try and track that down to see where it goes lol. Edit: Actually I can't tell from the pic but does that wire that "looks" like a speaker wire have a grey/yellow wire inside it? Kinda looks like it may, looking at the edge of it in the pic looks like it may just be shielded... If it does, thats your 12v switch and is supposed to be there.
Also it looks like all your wires are there afterall.
Do any of these apply to you?
# Not compatible with Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) DVD system (must be disconnected)
# Not compatible with factory remote CD changer (must be disconnected)
# Not compatible with factory Sirius satellite radio (must be disconnected)
Actually, none of those look like a 16 pin harness... If so (hard to know from pic) this would apply to ya-
This auxiliary input converter connects to the 16-pin connector that is located on the back of the factory radio, shown in the image at right (Click image to see larger photo). Depending on what factory options your vehicle has, there could already be a factory wiring harness plugged into the 16-pin radio connector. The wiring harness that comes with this interface is designed with a 'Y' connector that allows you to reconnect the factory wiring harness, if so equipped, once the interface is installed, keeping all existing factory options functional. If there is no factory wiring harness plugged into the 16-pin connector, the 16-pin 'Y' harness will remain empty after installation.
