Default Yet, anpther HID question..this time OEM HID

Question: What do I need to install a set of used 2008 OEM HID headlights in my 2006? I read somewhere that this is not a direct plug and play, but that I needed a special harness or even have a different electrical set up. Tried searching specific question to no avail...what do the guru's say.. I know ...and I can't spell "another"...

As far as I know, you will need the lights, ballast, and wiring harness. Everything else should be the same. Same switch, just matters weather or not you have fogs.

Is the housing the same as the non-HID headlights or is it a different P/N?

If different, what's the P/N's you have for them. thanks,

Don

To put the OEM HIDs on your car is direct plug and play, you just need the factory HID harness. There is no cutting/splicing involved. All you need are the headlights and the harness, the ballasts are built into the headlight housings. I put the factory HIDs in my car and it is fairly easy..

I bought my headlights from steeda and used this guide to install http://www.steeda.com/directions/162...steeda_hid.pdf

I have not purchased the lights yet...doing research up front. Another MF member is selling his OEM HID lights...again, just doing some homework, so I don't know the P/N.

the part# on mine is 61A-3002-0677..I dont think its a valid ford part# though. You may have to call the parts dept. of your dealer and have them look it up..
