Size of tires

Having to replace my tires on 2008 Mustang. It came with size P215/65R16 size on it. My tire man wants to put 225/60R16 on it. He said I would never know the difference. Anybody know about this?

on the same note, does anyone know what is the widest tire you can fit on the stock 16" rim?
