2008 Mustang GT Rattle Under Hood During Acceleration
I have a 2008 Mustang GT with approximately 15000 miles. During the last few months, a very annoying rattle is emitting from under the hood during acceleration. The rattle initially only happened in cold weather, but once the engine warmed up it went away. Now I can hear the rattle even after the engine is warmed up and with the windows closed. Basically, if the engine is over 2500 rpm there is a rattle noise. Sounds like maybe a heat shield or something similar. Is this a common issue and can it be fixed without having to make a trip to the dealer? I am under warranty, but only go to a dealer last resort.
Is the a TSB of any kind? Anyone with the same issue that has fixed it?
