Default one last question on engine swap

I start my engine swao Aug. 16. I think i have everything in line. I have socket, wrenchens, hoist, lift and basic tools. My question is what special tools do i need?

1. balancer remover ( i believe i can rent at autozone)
2. phaser sprocket holder
3. crankshaft positioning tool
4.

what else?

Are you doing a shortblock? You won't need the phaser tool because the chains are going to come off anyway. When you remove the tensioners there will be enough slack to take the chains off. Make sure you get the timing marks where they need to be for installation before removing the heads. You will also want a leveler for the hoist. I was able to pull my motor without removing the hood or radiator by using the leveler for fine adjustments on the way out.

Post up a thread when you start, that way if you run into any problems there will be a support group following the swap to help out remotely.
