Default one of my best launches and surprisingly got it on video

i've been practicing my launches, trying to find an rpm that is good to get off the line as quickly as possible without much wheelspin, in preparation of a track day sometime in the very near future. let me know what you think, i watched it over and over and timed it with a stop watch and got under 5 sec for the 0-60. let me know what you guys think. i slipped the clutch at about 3k rpm.

i apologize for the quality, it was from my phone

lol thats what i thought when i first watched the video. i thought it would've dipped back below 30 due to traction loss, but i gripped the ground really well. did that look like a true sub 5 sec run? i timed it myself and i got anywhere between 4.45 and 4.6, but i kept tossing those out because i figured everybody would think i was bull****ting them

^^
Looked legit to me.

The great thing about a manual is that you can drop the clutch and 1st will actually grip, compared to an auto that will just rip the tires apart while just spinning rofl

freakin awesome! i'm glad as hell to see that you see this as being a sub 5 sec run as well. and i completely agree with you about manuals, thats why i love them too. i mean automatics are alright i guess, my friend has an auto gt, but its not that fun. now i did make sure to brake torque the hell outta it when he let me drive it lol, i held it to like 2k and then let it go, and like you said it lit the tires up haha. i guess i see why people are able to find a sweet spot for launching. i'm just afraid if i went to the track in perfect conditions, i'd launch exactly like this and end up running like a 14.xx
