The one-eyed skunk...
I noticed this morning driving to work that my right side headlamp is completely burnt out.
I was wondering what should I do to fix it? Just buy a factory replacement bulb, get silverstars, or get wild and crazy and upgrade both headlamps......?
Suggestions?

Go HIDs. I love mine. I have 8000 and 55 watt. They look really good. I'll put a picture up later and i'll put where i got mine too. I think it was about $40 Since we have a H13 bulb we can have highs and low beams with just one bulb and one kit : )

Honestly...I have stock H.I.D's that come with the car...and there good. I mean they are brighter then stock no question asked. My past cars I always had Silverstars, and I loved them. I love the look, a crisp white clean light - and def. was a huge improvement over stock.

Watch what temperature you choose, Shella, regardless if you go with HID's or stick with halogens. As we age, our sensitivity to the higher temperature lamps will cause night vision problems, especially in foul weather. The higher the temp, the less useful light there is.
The stock halogens are in the 3500K range. Silverstars are 4000K and the Silverstar Ultras (which I believe are still unavailable in our bulb style) are 4100K. I had 5000K in the SUV and couldn't see well in rain at night so I went back to the Ultra's in the SUV and sticking with the Silverstars in the Stang. And I'm running 2500K (yellow) bulbs in the SUV and the Stang fog lights which really are incredible on those nights that you can barely see the sides of the road.
IMO, the Silverstars are a simple and minor step up from the stock lamps.

Shella, go HID!
I got my HID foglight kit from RetroSolutions and love them! I got 5000k and they match my factory HIDs perfectly; they were also very easy to install as they were plug-n-play (Note: I wouldn't go with a temp higher than 5000k).
I know they have kits for headlights and I highly recommend them! (Don't forget the available bulb capping to keep from blinding oncoming traffic.)
