Default 2011 Mustang sill plate

Any suggestions on how to get the lighted sill plate up? I want to install a dead pedal and can't get the sill plate up to remove the left kick panel. No matter how hard I pry, jerk, pull or cuss, it just won't move.

You have to pull it really hard man. I had to do the same with my 10 GT and I thought for sure that I was going to break it, but it didn't. The dead pedal looks and feels nice!

I don't know if it has changed since I did it on my 2004, but as I recall almost the whole length was attached with double sided adhesive. It was tough to get off. I used a wood spatula to get under the sill plate and break the seal. Using the soft wood tool guaranteed that I would not scratch the paint.

It's strips of double sided tape on the outer portion and snap in recepticles on the inner portion. You just need a plastic panel tool or similair to pry it up on the outer edge. Place a rag down on the fulcrum to protect the finish of the paint

I got the dead pedal from Roush. I wish it was available with the car from Ford.
