Opinion On Hoods/finish

I am thinking of changing to a trufiber GTS Hood http://www.trufiber.com/Trufiber_Mus...0024-a52-l.htm , or the GTR http://www.trufiber.com/Trufiber_Mus...f10024-a39.htm. I have a CS front and my car is black as you can tell from the signature. My Car is a DD so I am a bit concerned with the heat extractors and rain, so I am leaning towards the GTR hood. I am also considering either hood on Carbon Fiber or Black finish. I am a bit concerned how the carbon fiber would look on an otherwise black car.

My Question is any comments bad/good experiences with either hoods or finish, and any advise on the carbon fiber finish on Black car (pictures?). Any other suggestions also welcome. Have in mind that there is a techco supercharger under the hood.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing...... Love the look, but I think you're right about the carbon fiber being out of place. Just having it on the hood might look a little weird.

I have CF on the interior of the car, but I guess that does not count as far as a hood is concerned...

paint it, unpainted CF hoods look tacky. You could get by with the black car, but I would paint it.

i would go with the GTS it's just plain sexy and i doubt rain would give you too much trouble with those heat extractors, but if you are worried the GTR hood looks good as well, either way definitely go with black painted CF hoods just don't look good to me especially with the clean black flow of your mustang. If all black isn't what you want you could consider stripes

I think you could pull the CF off with your car, especially since its black.

If I may to touch on rain on a vented hood like that on my eclipse I had a CF Evo hood that had vents right over the valve cover with all the spark plugs right there and never had any issues with rain harming the motor

And +1 to the CF on the black car
