Evolution Performance Tune w/Steeda CAI

Damn, those are some great times! You'll be in the very low 12s with just a few bolt ons
Did you do that on the DRs or street tires??

He never said he had "430 more whp" he said he has OVER 430 rwhp, which is more than what his '11 5.0 has.
Anyway,
Something is wrong here though. Myself and others have made it into the low 13s with very minimal mods and on stock tires, and mid 12s on drag radials... This is with almost 100 less HP. So I would hope these 5.0s were doing a little better than that!
Furthermore, I have met Fred personally. Fred is a real piece of work, let me tell you. His tunes, really aren't worth it and I have his and another's tunes. The guy is just very sketchy. I think it was in 2007 we went to his shop, me and a few other members for a dyno day. It rained, but we were almost there and decided to go anyway. First thing he did was pitch his tune, and trash our tunes. Then it took him like three hours to "load" his tune in my car, which only had a C&L Intake and this is prior and not on any dyno. I think he was just trying to rip Brenspeed's tune off my tuner.
Then he fudged the dyno results, and didn't even give us proper dyno graphs. Just a piece of paper that said "You made x hp with brenspeed, and x hp with us! Yay!" Claimed his tune made 25 more rwhp and torque than Brenspeed's according to the dyno results, yet I netted 2 tenths better at the track using Brenspeed's tune.
There is way more to this story, but in the end Evolution doesn't get any business from me. I would seriously try out another tune to see if your times have improved. Brenspeed and Bama appear to be actual business people, and not out to make someone else look bad.

Re:
Here are my times. I had a good experience with Evolution, and there is a saying down south "Proof is in the Pudding!" I think they are all going to be very close to the same as far as performance goes.

The guys at Evolution and Steeda are amazing!
The car ran 12.4 to 12.6 all day long. The outside air temp was almost 90 so I didn't get the break I was hoping for there. Some of the 12.6's were with a lot of wheel hop. I couldn't launch at any rpm over 4000 without bouncing like a basketball. I guess control arms are in my future.
I'll have the time slips posted tomorrow (Something up with my home printer)!
I hope you're reading this S197 Steve!

I never once doubted your car was strong, I simply didn't (and still don't) believe that you're spinning your tires going into 4th...
If you're really trying to prove me wrong, then get video of it. If you do, I'll happily eat crow.

I wish... :-)
I actually really like my rwhp level... I don't need anymore than that. I'm currently working on making it a more balanced sports car. Light weight wheels, improving on the suspension setup, better brakes... etc.

Re: Steeda Gus
Great video. What tires did you have on yours? When I'm on the street I use 275/35/20's Nexen N7000 on my Razors and I believe that's why I get so much spin through the gears. They are hard tires and with the 35 aspect ratio gives me very little sidewall for flex.
Now with the Nitto's I race with, it's the same chirp in 4th. Man are they fun to drive and that Steeda/Evo combo really woke the beast!
