Get the tires I have. Goodyear Assurance Comfortreds. It smoothed out my ride considerably. A whole lot quieter too. Fairly expensive but, you get what you pay for. They are rated for 80,000 miles. Lots of people bitch about not getting half that many miles on them but, I would say they going around turns way too fast and general aggressive driving that is making them not last as advertised. I have 55,000 on mine now and still have a decent amount of tred. I might make 80,000. If I bought and installed nicer struts & shocks I think my ride would smooth out even more. To me, these are important things. Smooth/quiet ride. They have done this with the 2011 Mustang.

My first car was a 68 Mustang with a 302 engine that I bought in 1986..I sold it in 89 to get a 89 5.0 Gt. Over the years I saw how the Mustang changed and nothing really impressed me till I saw the 05..I waited a year for Ford to get the kinks out, and now drive a 06 Vista Blue Mustang. It's the best car I have ever owned and don't plan to sell this one. The 10, 11 Mustangs are nice cars, but I like the look of the 05-09's better..just my opinion.

Koni's fixed my ride and that's with lowered springs, I don't really drink in my car much but it might have to do with the fact that I know the cup holders suck so I instinctively avoid bringing drinks in it, other than the car being a little heavier than I wish and the stupid hood flutter I haven't really had any issues with my car after a year and a half.

I would love a 2nd Mustang, but my dd is a '96 T-bird and I like this car as well. It drives good in snow and although I don't want it damaged I don't worry about nicks and door dings nearly as much as I do when I'm in the Stang. If I'm out in my GT and parked somewhere, I tend to worry and wonder about the car and don't always have a good time. Not true with the Bird. I know the T-Bird with 120k on the clock won't last forever, but for now I'm happy with both cars. No issues with either one outside of normal maintenance.
