Default 09 GT 1st problem -Leak

I had a MGW shifter installed today and the mechanic found that the Differential pinion fluid was leaking.....not to happy about that, it was a factory one too not aftermarket gears...damn ! what other problems can I expect ?!?!?!?!?!

If this is the only problem you have experienced, not to worry.
Hopefully, you still have warranty period remaining.

Mine did that too at about 30k miles on my 2008 GT. It was covered under warranty. I made a thread about it and everyone told me I was silly for being pissed about a car leaking **** everywhere that was only 2 years old. Anyway, it's a cheap fix.

They will probably blame the shifter for that leak knowing the dealer.

The Pinion seal leaking is a common problem - nothing major.

Mine leaked at 37k and has been dry since
