Ok so i am no "noob" to cars but i am kinda to transmissions.... ok so my friend is trading in his mustang GT and it is a 5 speed and he said that he would swap me transmissions before he traded it in if i wanted a manual, which i do.... the only issue is I have a v6....? can they work between the 2? i dont think they would...

Anything's possible if you have enough money. This would be VERY expensive though. Even if you both had the same engine it would be a huge undertaking.

are you a manual already? if your already a manual i dont think it would be that much at all, if your going from auto to manual, then its going to rack up the price!

He's got an auto if I understand his first post correctly...
So he's in for a world of pain, despite that he would swap with his buddy, the V6 bell housing has a different bolt pattern than his V8 counterpart.
An adapting plate would have to be made or a custom BH all together.
Tough call.

Not to mention his buddy would have to be insane to butcher his car like that right before turning it in. A stunt like this will NOT help the trade in value.

Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to see you do this so long as you kept us up to date throughout the build. Would definitely make for some good reading!
