I used a flat matte clear on the chrome rings - cost me $5 for the rattle can at O'Reilly's Auto Parts, then a flat black made for model cars that cost me another $5 at Hobby Lobby. I had the sandpaper already but it isn't expensive.

About an hour's time to disassemble, sand a little bit, spray - let dry - hit with another coat of paint and clear - let dry fully and within 1.5 hours time I had it done. Lots cheaper than buying the parts from any dealer or online parts supplier. It is really easy to do.

Or just keep watching the classifieds or Fleabay as I found an entire Bullitt dash set-up (less the airbag cover, but with all 4 vents) for $100.

I'm about to pull all the chrome bezels off of my 2011 and paint them. I can get the instrument cluster panel off no problem, but can't figure out how to remove the airbag cover. Has anyone figured out how to do that yet? Looks like I need to remove the airbag in order to get the center and passenger side air vents off.
