2010 with 3.55 gear
Ok guys, I am new here and I have a question.I have a chance to buy a 2010 grabber blue gt with sec. package, comfort package, HID lamps, 3.55 gear, shaker 1000 stereo, 19 inch wheels and accessory package 4 which is hood scoop and raised rear spoiler. It is a 5 speed. Car has 1600 miles and they want 26,000.00 out the door. Sticker was 36,800.00. I think this is a good price for the car but I really wanted one with the 3.73 gear. Is this a big deal or not? I want the most performance I can get but I cant find another one like this with it. I love the car, I just dont want to be wishing later I would have gotten the 3.73. Can someone help me out? I have not driven a mustang since a gt I owned in '95 but I love the looks and have read nothing but good things about them.

If u do get the car i wouldnt put in 373 and put in 410. U wont feel much of a difference from 355 to 373 but to a 410 you will. u might lose a little and i mean minimal fuel mileage with 410's. but in town u will gain. the butt dyno is very nice.

IF 3.55's don't do it for you, just go 4.10 instead. People don't report much of a feel difference from 3.55 to 3.73. 4.10 will give you a better bang. That's almost a brand new car with fully loaded features. Not bad at all. You can always find a good shop and put in a gear of your choice later. I was looking at buying a pre-owned 2009 GT back in 2009 and they wanted $27k and it wasn't anywhere as featured as that one.

I don't know if it is the same options, but here is one with 0 miles for less money. ---> http://columbus.craigslist.org/ctd/1972786056.html
Of course, it is in Ohio.

With my "06 GT (auto trans) I went from 3.31 to 3.73 and it felt minimal, I was disappointed. I finally went to 4.10's, now thats a difference! Not too bad on the highway, and around town, just touch the gas, and the tires chirp! Makes the car feel so much faster. Also, it seems , especially in my case,(automatic) you can run a louder exhaust, and it stays out of the drone range better. And gas mileage isn't all that bad or the revs... For instance, I drove home yesterday from Lake George , NY to my area (northeast NJ, Meadowlands) According to the dash, I averaged 21 mpg, I was doing an avg of 80 mph,(3k on tach), and I had between a 1/4 and an 1/8 tank of gas left! Not too bad! Get the 4.10's, but make damn sure that you know well who is doing the install, because these cars have a nasty habit of whining (esp on decel) if they aren't installed exactly right! Believe me, I know....
