Default Would it be better to add tune, 4:10s?

My parents tonight again said I should keep this car untill I get out of school.

Woudl it be better to add 4:10s to my 06 gt, and a tune or just save all that $$ towards a new car in a few years?

Is it best to have a Ford dealer do it or take it to a specialty shop? I read on here how gears are a pain and have to find someone really good.

yes u r correct. Do not skimp on the installation of gears. I have heard dealerships doing a bad job too. So becarefull and try to find a speed shop thats done them. Brenspeed in indiana does a great job. They have an apartment u can stay at that is free if u make the drive there and buy your parts from them. Brenspeed actually races and uses all the parts they sell for the 197. If ur not willng to drive then like i said be choosey and just b/c a dealership does it, it doesnt mean it will be done right. Goodluck

Brenspeed is great, but I'm sure there has to be local speed shops. Not familiar with your area though. See if there are any local mustang clubs, you can usually get some good info there.

Now if you bought a new GT wouldn't you have to have dealer install it so id doesn't void the warranty?

R - really
A - alotof
N - nothingfor
T - three
Y - years

Get the CAI & tune, thenif you can swing the cash do the gears. You'll need the handheld to cahnge the gear ratio for the PCM when you do the gears.
