Default front passenger seat belt

Has anyone experienced the front passenger seat belt
on the GT tightening up excessively for the passenger ????
Any suggestions !!!!!!

Yeah, that's the crappy locking system they put in newer cars. Look at your owner's manual, there should be a section about it. I think there's some way to disable it.

I have 2005 V6 and mine tightens up when you go around a corner and you sway to go around a pothole.
Just like Krazed said, Its the new seatbelt system. It keeps you in your seat better.
I really dont care for it myself.

WITH that stupid forward leaning headrest, when I want to turn my head to look to my left behind me while entering the Interstate, I have to lean forward to avoid crashing my glasses into the headrest... THEN the seatbelt locks up preventing me from doing so...

SO... I say to myself.. screw it.. and mash the go peddle to the max in case there IS a car coming but since I can't turn to see it I figure I'll just get the hell out of the way.

Do you THINK the Highway Patrol will buy off on that one?
