Default 235/50/18's on 18x9?

Just wondering if I could run my stock 235/50/18 tires on a set of 18x9 wheels. I have the nasty polished alum. wheels now, want to get a set of black painted premium wheels from American Muscle(not in stock now) or black bullitts. Thanks for any advice.

Tire Rack says the wheel width should be 6.5-8.5" (for Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s). 8" would be preferred but I think they would probably fit OK on a 9". You won't have any wheel protection from the curb.

I've posted this before. 18" black bullitts with the OE 18" tires. I prefer 19" wheels on the 2010+ but this is a cost effective solution since you don't have to buy new tires.

^thanks for the pic! I just want to get rid of the polished wheels, can't stand them. 19's would be nice, but I'd rather get a decent set of 18's and run the stock tires for now. (roush exhaust wanted) Any idea if the wheels from above are the actual SVT bullitt wheels or replicas?

Do you plan on modding the car? Cause if you do save yourself the time and just buy wider times now even if its just the rear. I am running the stock tires now and cant hook up for **** on any pavement.

I just want to get rid of the horrible wheels, they are the 2011 V6 premium wheels. Must have been available in 2010 for the GT's... I'll get the wheels, sell the old ones and use that money for tires. Only mod I have now is Roush exhaust, I would like a decent intake/tune and some K springs. If anybody has more pics of a 2010+ GT with the Ford Racing 18x8.5 black bullitt wheels, post them please...
