Default Traction Control and BAMA tune

So I did some searching before creating this post https://mustangforums.com/forum/sear...9&pp=25&page=4

Before I put on my JLT CAI/SCT Combo and Pypes Bomb axle back I was pretty much unable to do a burnout with Traction Control On. They would chirp a little, bog, then take off. With TC off I was able to do huge burnouts of course.

Now with the CAI/93 Octane Race tune and my axle back I am able to do massive burnouts with TC on. Why is this? Is it just the nature of the tune? I first noticed this the 2nd day of driving with the tune. Was at a red light and some ***** had been tailgating me before and was literally humping my bumper at the red light... so I floored it when the light hit green and JEBUS!!! Burned out like mad then took off like a bat out of hell, chirped in 2nd and in 3rd. Good thing tailgater was long gone and I did have a grin from ear to ear

I haven't tried it with the TC off, but I am thinking the TC is off all the time now. The amber light on TC does not indicate that it is off, nor do I get any warning signals on the dash about loosing traction.

Thanks for any info!

I don't really have any technical info to add, but yes I noticed the same thing haha. It's as if Doug desensitized the TC or something. Funny though, a few times the TC has caught me on a hard shift into 3rd. The whole car will "buck" really hard and the traction light comes on. Also, if I downshift and punch it in the rain the TC kicks in almost instantly. It seems like he tuned the TC to turn off at a low speed and bumped up the sensitivity at higher speeds, but I'm no expert.

That's what I noticed the most, the bucking in 2nd and 3rd, and man what a buck it is! Love getting those 3rd gear chirps

I was thinking about sending them an email asking about it but wanted to ask here first.

I always just shut mine off. I find that I don't get the chirps going from 2nd to 3rd that way, but honestly whatever it was doing with TC on and getting a big chirp, didn't sit well with me...
