Default TCI ratchet shifter question..

I get the basic concept of it. Shift through the gears easier, 1, 2, 3, D(4), now for 5th. Its overdrive right? so how do you switch to 5th? click the button or do you just shift again once your in D (4) and it automaticaly shifts to over drive? I dont know, just a bit confused. If someone could clear this up for me.

I think it has a button for the OD on the shifter bezel.

Yep... You just push the OD button to get it out of over drive just like you do with the stock shifter. It is just located in a different place on the TCI shifter. I had a B&M Ratchet shifter in my Dodge Dakota and it made running through the gears a lot more fun because it is impossible to miss shift and slide up to gears like you can with the stock shifter.
