First production Shelby GT350s roll off the line - pictures
Shelby has finished building the first few 2011 GT350s and is ready to deliver them to their new owners. You can see the pictures here:

Man, I really like 'em. The front, the rear, the wheels, the exhaust exits in the middle, the interior, the whole package!
Whats the street pricing on these things? I saw in another article the MSRP was 30K + the price of the car. That cant be real world, you can get a GT500 for less than that.

the production is pretty limited, they are going to go for more than a gt500 for sure to my understanding.
you have to buy a base GT and send it to Shelby in LV. The package costs are an additional 27K for the NA version and 34K for the s/c version. so either way it will cost more than a GT500. but still not to bad a cost if there is no markup

There is no MSRP on these. It is a post title car. That means you must purchase the car (white one) from a dealer and then send it to Shelby to have the conversion done. You pay according to which package you want. Naturaly aspirated, 550hp supercharged, or 614hp packages. The later one has no drivetrain warranty. They will only do so many this year though. There will surely be a dealer or two that will send their own cars there for the conversion and then gouge the customer just as they did with the super snake conversions.

Special edition, special order 'Stangs, kind of like Roush built 'Stangs that you can order through the dealer.
I saw the supercharged version, 525 crank BHP, I sure would hope that that 525 crank BHP also comes with an EQUAL amount max crank torque (also 525 ft-lbf). This would put this sucker in GT500 power territory. And I would hope that damn torque curve is 450+ ft-lbf crank at no less than 2500 RPM and then rises fast to over 500 ft-lbf crank and holds it almost to redline.
Now, that R-tune for 624 crank BHP, that is just outrageously sick...unless the torque is weenie, like only 400 ft-lbf crank, and the only reason why it hits 624 max crank BHP is because it keeps a weenie crank torque of that 400 ft-lbf at like 8000 RPM.
I doubt that this is the case, since Euro and Rice do this trick to get high max HP.
Good 'ole American muscle is all about torque and making that max HP down low and creating massive torque also down low for that nasty drag-race acceleration.
