Problem with coolant leak, what should I do?
Hey guys, so for some reason I am losing a lot of my coolant really quickly. I tried looking under the hood and under the car and can't find where the leak is coming from. Im not sure what the problem is or how i can fix it. When I went to AutoZone, one of the employees suggested I should try the Bar's heavy duty pelletized radiator stop leak. here is the link for it. (http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...er=239133_0_0_).
Has anyone ever used this before or can tell me what else I can do about it?
Thanks.

I wouldn't put ANY product in the radiator until you determine where the leak is. If you're seeing no evidence of a leak (not just a puddle on the ground but also trails of fluid on the engine, chassis, etc) then it has to be going somewhere and my fear is a head gasket leak. If you're not seeing oil in the coolant reservoir, water in your oil, strange temperature swings (the engine, silly; not YOU), odd clouds of steam out the tailpipe then you can probably rule out the head gasket.
One thing is sure; find the source before you go putting something in the engine or radiator that may result in unneccessary replacement. And if it IS a head gasket, I wouldn't rely on that product. I'd replace the gaskets.
