2009 Saleen or 2011 5.0?

Have you driven either one? We had a 2007 Saleen supercharged at my work last week that we all took turns driving. Then everyone drive my 5.0. Hands down, everyone liked my car better. The saleen was not comfortable to drive at all. Hard leather seats, stiff steering, stiff shifting, and stiff clutch. And with the 20" wheels, no traction and rough ride.
The Saleens are cool. I used to own a older one, but other than the name and bodykit. The 5.0 is a better car.
Start with a stock 2011 GT and make it your own dream or buy a Saleen and drive Steve's dream.
I'm more impressed with what people build on their own, than fork out cash for something someone else built.
Just my 2 cents.

Definately a a tough decision but I would have to say the Saleen would barely nudge it out for me versus buying a 2011 5.0. Them 5.0 GT's are awesome and perform pretty sweet bone stock off the showroom floor, but with the 09 being a Saleen I would think that it will hold its value a bit better. Plus they are very exclusive, it's not everyday someone see's a Saleen going down the road.

I had this same problem three years ago (2007) new Mustang or 2004 Saleen s281sc convertible. I took the saleen. I paid 28K for it with 17K miles sticker price on the car in 04 was 57K. I made a good choice. NO1, I am the only person around with a Saleen and people walk up to me all the time and ask me what kind of car it is and they love it. NO2, I like to work on my car and mod it up a little just look at my list, the power is almost unmanageable if you were a new driver, (380) HP to the wheels and I can still get more out of it. NO3, Not too many Saleens around, you’re the only one around for miles and miles, but you will see a lot of mustangs. Now is the time, shop around. The prices on Saleens have come down because of the time of year. You can find a real nice Saleen for under the price of 29K. This is your chance to own a 55K car just shop around. Go to some of the Saleen web-sites and you will find a nice one. Good Luck-
