Default 2008 Bullitt questions

Ok, so my brother is looking at an 08' Bullitt with roush supercharger installed by roush and ford motorsports FR3 suspension package installed by ford, 11k miles, HID's and mach 1000. Looks good in the pictures, if I were to offer 24k do you guys think that would be too high? I just don't know how well a bullitt will hold value. I know a car isn't an investment it's more of a money pit! Also, has anyone driven an 08' bullitt and compared it to a GT?

Bullitt is a normal GT with better suspension, brakes and axle from the factory. Sounds like this car has been really modified...and IMO was probably raced considering the blower + suspension work you mention

Bullitts have the GT500 axle, but normal trans & clutch.

It's a decent combo that can hold a ton of abuse. I know several Bullitt guys running 500+ at the wheels. Daily driven

As far ad paying $24k. No. I paid $27k for mine brand new. Don't pay for the guys goodies. His loss, not for you to assume the $$$ burden over IMO

There are always other cars out there, many 100% stock that you could modify to match this one for relatively cheap. The blower + suspension is only worth about $5000 brand new

I agree I'd offer him $1,000 less then KBB and go from there.

It is for my brother, he would like a supercharged bullitt, saleen, or roush. So if anyone has seen anything nice out there let me know! I'll take your guys word, kbb is like 21,900.

Bullitts have a GT500KR rear end with the 3.73 gears.

You could probably get it in the 21-22 range. The suspension upgrade negates the Bullitt improvements (this is a good thing).

just did a quick search. Autotrader has almost 100 for sale. Some good deals like this:
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false

From there you can mod it yourself and have a car that wasnt abused potentialy as much by previous ownere.

+1 on this...I would never purchase a car that has been supercharged. you just don't know what the prior owner has done. motor could be a ticking time bomb.
