good article about increase top speed and fast off line with rear gear ratio change
http://www.corvettephotographs.com/c...erformance.htm
check this out guys, its talk about increase top speed ofr a corvette, but i was thinking is it same as our cars? so our v6 240hp can reach 150mph top speed, and the gt 300hp can reach like 160 something.. so if we supercharge or turbocharge it to over 600 horses, our top speed will be over 190mph? i dont think so, or i miss something here, i know its about science equation, but need some one give me a better explaination, i m just kind of interested in it(assume i m in German, no speed limit lol)

Well first of all.... F.I. is not the same as changing your gear ratio.
But I think that might have been a mistype in your title now that I read what you are trying to say
in the thread.
Changing gears can make you quicker off the line though.
I read a little of that article and saw where it was talking about trying to overcome
aerodynamic body drag etc. Of course the aerodynamics of a car affects what top gear you can achive.
As far as adding F.I. to increase ACTUAL physical top speed overcoming aerodynamic drag...
I myself have no real world experience with that issue.
Not only that, but I have never even really given it much thought.
You have to remember though... the faster you are going the more it takes and harder it is
to gain speed.
