That's badass. I'm getting a 5.0 even if it's years and years from now

Be interesting to see exactly how much power these 5.0's can take reliably on a stock long block. Especially after all the reports about them being unable to take significant boost (10psi+)

How is the stock clutch and transmisson going to hold up?

If 7.5 already nets you 600+ RWHP I'm not sure i'd want a stock long block to take as much as 10.

Warning (Soap box)

Think about it. do you want some moron with some money to blow have a 600+ HP missle on the road? At 10 PSi it will probalby be pushing 825 or 850+...that's a lot of power in the hands of the masses.

Most people won't go beyond what the stock can handle because they either don't have the money or want to keep the car as a DD so they don't want the down time. When you have to start pulling the motor and upgrading it you're less likely to beat on it because of all of the extra time and money you put into it.

Just my thoughts. I don't see the point of a DD with more than 600HP (even that is pretty high) where you going to use that power? The street? Riiiigggghhhtt.... /rant

anyways, it would be interesting to see what the motor can handle in stock form I'm just not thrilled what it means for the average moron driver.

This makes me feel like there is no point in building and boosting my 4.6.

Yeah I'll be curious to see if these motors can really take that much sustained power, or if that thing is going to blow up in the near future. My understanding is the stock tranny is only good for something like 375 ft lbs of torque. My suspicion has been the weak point of the new platform is going to be that...

Don't let this hold you back. Your average 2011 on the road will not be pushing anywhere near these numbers. Just remember, no matter what you do, there's always someone out there faster than you are. But chances are, you"ll be faster than most people on the road.

Exactly. And also, good luck on putting 607 to the ground on a street car anyway. Enjoy what you have, it'll still haul ***** with any type of FI.

Do 'supporting mods' also include forged rods/pistons? If the stock shortblock is able to handle 600whp I'd be very, very impressed. Hell, I may even go buy one!

So what's the word John? I know you're in pretty good with the BBR guys. Stock internals??
