For plastic that has laready begun to fade I'd try the Black WOW mentioned above. For protection I like how the synthetic waxes (which boast about using them on plastic) seem to protect. I've used Turtle Wax ICE on black plastic with good success (so far).
The advice on saying use a synthetic wax is a very bad one. Not all waxes will not stain moldings and this is just a calling for people to go smear wax on their trim thinking it wont stain it and then have a huge mess of white moldings. Also anything turtle wax is just junk.

I never cared for Turtle Wax products but for the sake of black plastic, ICE works well since it's synthetic and goes on and stays clear. I had been using it on the Stang's paint but have given up on it due to it's inability to hold up for any length of time, even with the Stang being a garage queen. The ICE that I have is used on the plastics on both Stangs.
