Forgive my newness to mustangs/cars in general.
Ding Strip?

Is that the plastic thing on the bottom edge of each side?

I agree. I thought it looked GREAT with the chrome bezel around the black fans.

I liked them best in the first picture. I've always been a big fan of the dark fan blades.

The ding strip is that rubber strip running horizontally on the door. It's a "feature" uniquely V6. The GT doesn't come with one. BTW you can remove it with patience and a hair dryer.

I believe the reference is to the horizontal door strip along the belt line. I've seen a few stangs with that and heard they were installed on rentals. I can't believe they came that way from the factory.

I see plenty of V6's without that strip. My g/f has an '06 V6 Pony Package with no ding strip.

Ditto.

Was it '08 or '09 the blades were charcoal from the factory? I think '09...

Yes it was optional but it is still unique to the V6.

You guys are awesome...just sayin'

I've always wondered if that strip was some kind of cheap ground effect. I agree, it will look better without it.

I'll report back when I've wrestled them off...
