Default 2005-2010 Clutch Line Replacement Question

Hello all,

Quick question - Does anyone have any experience with the JPC or FRPP Clutch Line kits?

Back story - a portion of(or entire) clutch line is made of plastic, so when the line heats up at becomes enlarged, larger area for fluid, less pressure to the slave cylinder(from my understanding). So FRPP offers a clutch line replacement with flex tubing made of braided hose, only problem i see in FRPP's stuff is its $219.95!!! Now i have found one other company making a similar product, JPC has a clutch line listed on their site for only $69.95 which seems very well priced, how ever i was wanting to know if anyone thinks this is worth it? or would i only notice a difference in heavy use conditions? also is the JPC piece the entire line or only a portion?

thanks in advance

It's nice to buy an "all parts included" kit but in reality you could do this for $30 if you went out and bought the stuff yourself, it's only a braided line and two fittings. $219 for the FRPP kit is monstrous.

I'm assuming un clip two fittings. Remove from between the bell housing and the pedal or something. Install the new one. Then bleed the system. But idk.

I would say this mod is like adding SS brakelines, more for feel, performance, and feedback than anything.

FWIW I put the Ford Motorsport piece in when I swapped in the six speed........Not sure if it's a harder clutch pedal or if it works better because I installed it at the same time as the new trans and clutch. The TR 6060 however, is what should have came in the GT to begin with, its smoother than goose poop and makes the car fun to drive instead of the constant mashing I was doing with the 3650.......D and D has recently discounted the price of the swap kit to 3500.......
