Ford Paint Sucks
I have had my 2007 Mustang GT for right at three years. I have 54,000 miles on it. While washing it, I noticed the paint is peeling on the quater panels underneath the back glass. I have been in contact with the local dealership as well as Detroit. It appears that I will get no help. I do not think that it is unreasonable for the paint to last while I am still paying for the car. I really was wanting to get my wife a new Ford after I paid the Stang off, but the inferior paint job has changed my mind. I just wanted to share my bad experience with everyone. Maybe you can catch this problem while it is under warranty.

yea the quality control of the paint is not very good I think..on my 2010 stang on the very bottom of the door was a paint bubble that popped while drying when it was painted so its like 2 small craters. I also have a few pieces of dirt you can see was painted over as well. i mean the bubbles are not really able to see..i only saw them when my car was on a lift and I was eye level with the bottom of the door. either way it seems the paint process needs some fine tuning.

Just an FYI this is a known issue and I believe there is a TSB about it as well.
Under the hood chips bubbles/chips and panel ones as well.
Due to Ford allowing contaminants in the paint by not prepping the parts and applying the paint properly.
