Bape: even at $38k that lowest quote is priced above MSRP. Are you leaving out options? Punching in those exact options you listed into the USAA/Zag buying service with a GT premium coupe gives me a price of $33709 which includes freight but not tax and tags. Which rapid spec order are you getting with that? Man some of you guys are getting ripped or you are leaving out which options you are ordering from your posts.

Actually that's not including the$ 1000 debate. So $2k under msrp. We also negotiated my trade to where I was happy and got payments to where I wanted them so Im happy.

Before going to the dealer I suggest going to Ford's website and spec out what you want so you can see what the sticker price should be. I would think the goal on a well equipped GT would be at least $2K under sticker before rebates. What everyone paid is irreverent. It's how much under sticker that matters.

Thanks for the tip, I've never seen that site before. Here's how I plan on ordering mine. You can click on change options to change it to what you want.

I don't know where in Texas you are, but if you're in Dallas try Grapevine Ford.
Your deal looks to be at least $1K too high. And you will get ripped off on your trade in if you try to roll it into the deal.
Always negotiate the purchase of the new car and the sale of your old car separately.
PS. If you need financing, you should be able to get under 3% for 60 mos with good credit. That's another place to get ripped off by the dealer.

Well the more I think about it, I actually want my mustang EXACTLY how I wanted which would mean ordering one. Now my question is how negotiable are cars that you order if they even are negotiable. Im guessing if the car I want to my exact specs is 36,585 maybe paying the extra 2k (last case scenario with negotiation not being an option) is worth it.

When you custom order, you can still negotiate the price just the same as you would if you were buying it off their lot....if anything you can get it cheaper. It's great when they can put an order in for a car and know that someone already wants to take it away. They don't have to spend any money on it sitting around the lot gathering dust and test drives.
