How is that possible when the cars are at best being handed out 1 per dealer....I smell BS

Then again, maybe it is one of those 'top selling' dealerships.

The dealer is a top selling Mustang dealer in the country and has been allotted (2) cars guaranteed and have a request for a 3rd. I was at the dealer when the 3rd car was not guaranteed and the guy wanting the car was flipping out. He was told there was a high probability that the 3rd car allotment would be fulfilled but they would make no promise.

I know the salesman personally and he is also a friend away from the dealership. We discuss the new model cars and especially Mustangs all the time.

I don't appreciate your BS comments when you know nothing about me....

I would have taken one at that price as well. But my local dealer already has pre-sold their allotment and another buyer already has a deposit on another car if it can be gotten. Dealership has a waiting list of potential buyers after the first (2) cars are sold. I also am not sure at this point exactly when i will be in a position to get one. We will see what the market looks like as we get closer to production. I may have to take an assignment to Saudi for some "Boss" cash!!

Ah, I wasn't insulting you. Hope you don't think that, and I think Ford is blowing this whole Boss ordeal out of proportion. That dosn't mean I don't want one, but a 11 V6 boss tribute is enough for a 16 year old.

What dealership is it, if you don't mind me asking.

Its not going to be a ton faster than the 5.0 and its not a Shelby so why the mark up? You would be better to buy a shelby then thats faster anyways. Or a 5.0 and just a few minor tweaks just as fast.

Ford has already stated it IS the best handling Mustang ever made. I wouldn't be surprised if they are as fast or faster on the track than a Shelby GT500 which would make them one hell of a bargain. Google 1969 and 1970 Boss 302. While these cars won't have quite the same cache they will be limited production and should hold their value quite well.

they said that it will be the best *production* mustang, but are GT500's and GT350's considered production mustangs?
