convertible in winter

It's probably a BAD idea to climb on top of a rag top to clear the snow off. Yeah, I know, who's that stupid?
Then there's a son I'd like to disown that told me he busted one of his wiper blades off last winter. I asked "how". He said "I was shoveling snow off the hood."
It's certainly from his mother's side...

Isn't there some type of stuff that you can put on the top to help keep it in good condition?
Just wondering because when we had a rag-top Jeep after many years of driving it to work, the top eventually dry rotted. Don't know if it was the same material used on the Mustang (probably not) but I would look into some kind of conditioner for it.

It was during a freak storm (we hardly ever get snow here) where we got 8+ inches.
